Earth science students make ocean floor models

As part of the ocean floor study, the Earth science students created ocean floor models. They could use any materials they chose, as long as they accurately depicted ocean floor features.
There was a wide variety of appearances--some used clay or Play-Doh while others used anything they could find laying around the house! The tastiest project was the one made of cake--we all enjoyed eating that model! The class will continue to study water, although they have moved on to freshwater. They will learn about groundwater issues, the aquifer, and what we can all do to conserve water.
