On a beautiful day at Memorial Stadium, Lincoln, Nebraska, the 2007 Eagle football team came ever so close to bringing home the Class D2 title.  A late score by Chambers allowed the Coyotes to edge the Eagles in a state finals classic.  The Eagles suffered some key losses early and late in the game as three starters were sidelined due to season ending injuries.  Still, the Eagles had a shot late in the game to win it but came up just short.  There were some outstanding highlights in the game and some great play from those athletes who came off the bench.  The Eagles handled adversity well and demonstrated a great sense of pride to the very end.

Hats off to the entire 2007 EHS Football Team and its coaches for a great season.  The entire school is proud of your efforts.
