2008 Elgin High Alumni Banquet

Mary Henkenius Bauer (Class of 1984) Master of Ceromonies, began the banquet at 7:00PM Saturday, June 28th in the high school gym. Randy Nelson (Class of 1980) gave the Invocation. The meal followed and was catered by J.W. Catering (Jerry and Melanie Wilkinson, EHS alumni). Mary welcomed special guests and gave introductions. Laurie Schindler Waterbury (Class of 1980) gave the welcome followed by the response from her daughter Rebecca Schindler (Class of 2008). The Class of 2008 was introduced as the newest EHS Alumni.

The honored classes were recognized with each class having a speaker comment on how things were when they were in school. Scholarships were presented to Jonathan Gunderson, Suzanne Hoefer and Jennifer Bush.

Dr. Dale Jillson 2008 Honored Alumnus

Dr. Dale Jillson was presented the Honored Alumnus Award.

Rita Schrage Heithoff (Class of 1976) gave a presentation on the new Alumni section on the school web page and how to sign up.

Randy Nelson conducted the business meeting which was followed by the Class of 1968 leading everyone in the school song. The evening finished with tours of the buildings and class photos.
