2010 Senior Portraits
by Rita Heithoff
June 11, 2009
Dear Parents,
The kindergarten photo was due September 15th and the senior portrait is due November 25th.
Senior photos are just around the corner. Here are the school’s
requirements to keep in mind when you are scheduling and ordering
photos. For their senior year the Class of 2010 will need a
wallet-sized portrait. This photo is to be a formal, vertical, head
and shoulder pose. Zooming in on a photo that is too far away
results in a blurry picture, which is why it is important that the
photo is a head and shoulder view. Their clothing should be school,
dress code appropriate (no hats, t-shirts, spaghetti straps, jeans
etc.). The boys need to wear a dress shirt and tie. A suit jacket
is nice but not required. Any photo that does not meet these
requirements will not be used.
The photo for the yearbook will be scanned (we do all photos
digitally) and the hard copy will be used for the composite in the
gym entrance. I also email the yearbook photo to the newspaper for
their composite and to Paula for the newsletter write-ups. In
addition it is used for the senior slide show and the photos that
are featured on a school webpage slide show. Many people are
waiting to use these photos and it’s important to submit them in a
timely manner.
We will require a school, kindergarten photo of your child for
the yearbook (please have their name on the back). If you don’t
have a kindergarten photo, one that is as close as possible will do
such as first grade. I require the kindergarten picture by
September 15th. This photo will be scanned and returned to you.
Please turn in the yearbook/web/composite/newsletter/slideshow picture before Thanksgiving vacation. Our pages are due in January and we are penalized if we are late. Paula will need time to get the senior, newsletter articles in as well. In addition the newspaper and coaches will be requesting photos for various articles. Late photos create additional stress for everyone. Most photographers will send photos directly to the school if you request it. By requesting this option, you may have the photo submitted before you order your prints. Some photographers have a “Yearbook” option where you may purchase just one wallet for the yearbook instead of a full sheet. If you have any questions please call me at school (843-2455) or at home (843-2307). Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Rita Heithoff
