I graduated form Chadron State College in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.  My first teaching assignment was at Beaver City, NE (Southern Valley).  My wife Deb also had her first music job there.  I taught Physical Education K-12 for seven years.  I was the assistant Football coach, Head Wrestling, and Head Girls Track during this time.  In 1986 we moved to Niobrara, NE where I again taught K-12 Physical Education.  I also coached Girls Basketball and Girls Track.  We stayed in Niobrara for 4 years.  In 1992 we accepted positions at Elgin Public Schools.  I have been the Social Science teacher since that time.  In 2003 I received my Masters Degree in Administration from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.  I have coached Volleyball, Football, Wrestling and Track during this time.  Currently I am the Head Wrestling Coach

My parents were both teachers so as a result I had several moves as a child.  The majority of my time was spent at Chadron.  I graduated in from Chadron High School in 1974 .  My wife and I have 2 grown children and now have the opportunity to “spoil the grand kids”.  Hobbies include fishing, camping, boating, and 5th wheeling to new places.

As we live in an ever changing world I feel that it is more important today to understand our past.  We must know where we have been to understand where we are going.  Remember,  what you do today will be history tomorrow.
