School Board Appreciation Week

2010

Elgin Education Association

January 15, 2010

In recognition of School Board Appreciation Week, the Elgin Education Association members would like to recognize the dedication and support of the current school board members as well as those who have selflessly served in the past.  The personal devotion of time and resources of these individuals has been a positive factor in shaping Elgin Public to become the successful institution it is today.  School boards of any district must continually make tough decisions; oftentimes the ramifications of these decisions are not fully known for years to come.

Recent “tough decisions” made by our school board have included the approval of the preschool program, the building of the early education/special education building, the addition of new school programs, the continual support for the use of technology, and the Wolfpack coop, among others.  Thus far these decisions have shown great insight as they have proven to be positives for both staff and students of EPS.  Their effects on education will be lasting for years to come.

The EEA would like to thank the school board members for their willingness to serve the community in this capacity—your altruistic commitment has not gone unnoticed.  By investing in the future of the EPS students, you have chosen to be an eternal part of their educational lives.
We truly thank you for all you do!
